Through the years

1984 :
Creation of EXTHA at Méral (53) by Jean-Pierre Hérisson, the current CEO. Specialised in passive fire protection, the company manufactures and applies by spray-on rock wool-based products.
1992 :
To this first activity is added that of manufacturer and installer of fire-stop ventilation and smoke extraction systems, which have become EXTHA's main line of business.
1993 :
Initially centred in west France, EXTHA's field of action now extends to all French territory. Opening of a branch, office and depôt in Paris.
1997 :
Creation of ISOFIRE Industrie, EXTHA's industrial branch.
1999 :
The company moves to a larger site at Soulgé sur Ouette (53).
2002 :
Creation of EXTHA Sud-Ouest.
2003 :
Creation of EXTHA Ouest, EXTHA IDF.
2004 :
Creation of EXTHA IBERICA, our fabrication unit at Carcar in Spain.
2005 :
On completion of a European research program (Projet Craft FIREMAT, design of new fire-resistant products, 2002-2005), EXTHA proposes a new line of products tested to European standards, and in particular a range especially dedicated to road tunnels.
2007 :
Creation of EXTHA Sud-Est.
2009 :
Creation of EXTHA Océan Indien.
