Adaptation of fire-stop products to road-tunnel protection (2003-2005)
In partnership with the ANVAR and the European Commission, EXTHA is leading a research programme dedicated to adapting fire-stop products to road-tunnel protection applications.
FIREMAT - development of innovative fire-stop products tested in accordance with the new European standards (2002-2005)
For over 2 years, EXTHA coordinated a consortium of 8 SMEs and 7 European research centres in the framework of a CRAFT* research project. The budget for the project was €2 million, including a European Commission subsidy of €1 million. The project, which focused on the design of innovative fire-stop materials, was a success and, after 27 fire-resistance tests, resulted in the launch of the EXTHA FIREMAT range. Significant technical and scientific advances were observed in the field of passive fire protection.
